week 2 chch

Almost through week 2 of being in Christchurch! time flies when there are so many things to do. Enjoying my simple routine of interviews in the morning, working on thesis in the afternoon and dinner-ing with friends at night. (:

1. Met D at La Porchetta

It was quite cool to meet up with him, because we actually got to know each other over the NUS confessions page when he was asking for advice about coming to NUS, and i saw that he was from Uni of canterbury! haha, so he's very excited to come to singapore, and it was lovely that the world is so small, and even in such a faraway place, we could meet up!

and anyway La Porchetta was yummy as always ((: comfort food

2. Our first date cafe... Emperor's New Clothes

well... Z and I came to Emperor's New Clothes on cashmere hill for our first 'proper date'.

We just thought it'd just be nice to revisit this spot together for the last time.

We somehow got the same seats, and we had the same order as last year, haha, eggs Benedict with bacon for me, and smoked salmon for him. yumyum, just as delicious (:

it was definitely nostalgic.. sigh.

and these are our penguins, baby blue and fatty black, spending a last few days together before they are separated. haha, baby blue is currently camping at Z's house.

I also went to sumner beach, and managed to catch the stars! I was so happy because stars are one of the things i missed about NZ, and i was so glad to see the beautiful sky again. Deep deep velvet blue with thousands, millions of twinkly stars, like diamonds on a gorgeous piece of deep velvet fabric.

Other than that, fieldwork is going very well, but getting very busy as I have quite a few last minute interviews to schedule in!

sigh, back to Singapore in 12 days time, and it's straight to work because I'd have missed 2 weeks of school my goodnessss!!!
