Food!

My blog is so dead, and it's not cos i have had no time to blog, but just cos i'm lazy. haha

1 . Lawry's

heard so much about this restaurant and finally got to try it! they sent my dad a birthday special card that gives him a free set meal with any one ordered. so anyway, my parents and I went to eat!

It was really quite an elegant place, and it was so nice that salad came in cold plates and hot meals came with hot plates.

We all got the Singapore cut for the roast beef, because it's already quite filling! It came with their special rocket spinning salad, which was pretty good, i loved the croutons in it.

and the beef was really amazing, i loved it, cos it was so soft and tender!!! i could eat another one right now, and i love mash!!! i only wish they didn't have the yorkshire pudding bread thing, and replaced it with some more veggies. hahah

they served my dad a complimentary slice of strawberry english trifle (:
yum yum!! wish i could go back!! but it was pretty expensive in my opinion. After the birthday discount, we paid about 175 for 3 people!!!

2. Muffet's Cafe

because I love to hunt for deals, i've been having lots of yummy food using deal coupons. today, i had breakfast for lunch with the sis at muffet's cafe. For $14, we got a breakfast set, which came with a main, side, and a drink.

this is cream of carrot, which was good, i love carrots almost as much as potatoes

battered mushrooms, really good, but messy to eat cos mushroom juice keeps dripping everywhereee

and the main was quite nice as well, although too many beans. haha, i was very full after all these food, but i didn't feel  guilty at all cos i swam for 4 hours the day before for an underwater shoot, which i will talk about in another post!
\
i have done quite a few shoots this holiday, and i have 2 more left for this holiday, a 1920 cheongsam shoot and a bridal gown shoot (: pretty excited!

and i have been working here and there as well! I was a fairy for a kid's mall event, taking pics with little kids and playing with them while they do colouring etc. it was quite fun i spose, except the costume made me look like one of them as well. i wasn't a great fan of the costumes, but it was fun to be around kids!

13 wilkies terrace fine art shoot

was really privileged to do a shoot in a very unique location, 13 wilkies terrace, in conjunction with the Displacements Community Arts Project. I got to do pictures with art work and antique furniture all around (:

these are some of my favorite pics for this shoot, all picture credits are to photographer Marc Nair (:

i love this cos the pose and the lighting both looks soft and relaxed ((:  even with one leg on the window sill haha

i like how this picture seems like movement. as though i was practicing and got tired, and laid down to rest, and dream a little about how i wish i could dance very well.

just like the vibrancy of this shot

and the quiet darkness of this

was a good shoot, and i learnt a bit about using space (: i was honestly very tired during this shoot, so thankfully the photographer was very helpful in showing me what he wanted to achieve, and helping me with the poses.

he is also a writer, and he wrote a poem about this work.

it's a good poem!
