it's our first trip together and i'm pretty excited!

I also miss thailand, and the 711 in thailand. 711 there is super super awesome. hahaha i can buy anything from hada labo lotion, to the most awesome cheese sausage ever. i can't wait to eat 50 baht (2 sing dollars) magnum ice cream :D


 and i havent seen S and T since i went to NZ, so really looking forward to catch up! (: although we've been whatsapping really regularly, but still! (: miss them lots!

I am bored.

oh, i went for a job interview yesterday, will find out if i get the internship today i think!

Anyway, i shall share with you my favourite 9gag pictures (:

DG update 1- hair, gown, paintball

 after the organisers started tagging us in pictures and posting, i guess i can't fully hide this anymore!



i missed the official pageant photoshoot, and i'm also missing the media launch and fashion show next week. oops!!!

i think there are some girls who are pretty obviously a cut above in terms of looks n experience and will prob be the ones to represent singapore next year. but anyway, i auditioned for this without even having an expectation of getting this far, so anything that comes is a bonus already. since there are no expectations on me so its all good fun i suppose

 anyway, spent the weekend with some the other girls (:


 first stop early in the morning was to go to do our hair!

before hair! i realised most of the girls wore fake lashes and camera ready makeup. only a few, including dumb me didnt ))):

 they did scalp analysis and stuff la

 love the after curls (:

they also filmed us for our personal interview. i was extremely nervous and i think i sounded stupid. oh well. :/

then next stop was to get fitted for the gowns for the fashion show. since i didnt need to do the fashion show, i just needed to take measurements for the long gown for the finals (:

 look, the whole place is full of pretty gowns

 and pictures of past pageant winners

everyone was camwhoring to send their bfs pictures (oh did i mention, about 90% of us are attached) haha so everyone would keep talking abt their bfs, and whatsapp them pics along the way.

the day before, z asked for a pic n i refused, then while with the girls i sent a couple of pics. hahaha so he said see la, everybody send then u also haolian. :p

ooops :D



then i found out: No swimwear segment for the finals!!! hooray! indulge in cheesecake icecream and waffles at bakerzin with the girls

last stop for the day was meet and greet with photographers at a paintball match. it was pretty funny, cos every few minutes, they'd stop and then we'd pose and the cameras would snap snap.

they then called us for impromptu photoshoots with the paintball outfit, and also posed action shots on the field. lols. that was stressful, cos there were a few veteran models who were so natural and pretty. i also feel like taking photos of them

it was really funny cos everyone was dressed in rough clothes, but every now and then, we'd have to run and touch up make up, hair. i was highly amused la. 

sigh they all so glam, im so unglam. haha, see. eyemake up and lashes make a huge diff okay. ): will remember to wear the next time

and i got shot with a pellet and bare flesh. OUCH. super pain ok.

thought for very long over whether to put up these pics, cos they're not so conventional...but finally decided to put up the pictures for my last chch shoot, because i needed to send my portfolio over to organizing people anyway.. so here are my favourite pics

anw this is coffee bean cheesecake. the raspberry layer is super weird. but it looks so pretty. haha not that great a cake though ):

and met the FS friends for lunch today (: korean food! i love korean food! yumyumyums!!! (:

try out was disappointing today, not really the standard that i expected. oh wellz! i had fun doing some self prac before try outs though, feet are all red and sore now (: and im really tired from practising about 4 hours!!!!


 i miss z!!!


oh, and z said he prefers brunettes, and my family keep saying my golden brown hair is terrible. so i dyed it back! hahaha, its chocolate brown now!

very pleased with myself until Z sent me a pic of his more awesome looking chicken rice that he'd just cooked for dinner. hahah

went to visit viva yest! was really reluctant to go, because i'm highly jetlagged (sleeping at 8 and waking up in the middle of the night) and refusing to change my sleeping patterns so i can talk to Z. hahah, also of cos because i dyed my hair reallyyy goldenish brown and i look a bit weird. am thinking of dying it back already. haha i like my old colour better :/



anyway when we went to dd, someone pointed our S's car. and i was really insistent that it wasn't beigey, it was black. oh gosh. i would think i knew i car well, but i guess i've forgotten :0 cos they were right! what a strange feeling. haha oh wells.


meeting potential partner number 1 today for a discussion session! although i'm holding out more for the other guy :p


but i think i'm really lucky already. my two current options are an active three-dancer or a semi-retired 10 dancer (but he's under 25!!!) . so im really blessed to have some awesomepawsome options. i hope one of them works out at least. 



hmms, considering whether or not to join viva again. but i've got to consider that i wanna train for comp, work 2 jobs and i also have the commitment to this event that ends 15 dec, and i already missed the major parts of it, so i prob shouldnt miss anymore stuff. ):


and of cos, when z comes in dec, i wanna spend as much time as i can with him ):

49 days till i see him again. sighhhh.

 havent gotten a chance to update this place cos my computer's internet is not working ): on my sis's com now, but i dont have photoshop on this one . haha.

anyway, our last date before i left chch was to go to strawberry fare for some yummy dessert (:

we decided to go with tiramisu! it was seriously the most expensive cake i've ever eaten :0

17 bucks for a slice of cake eh.

and i'm really blessed that i got an internship which is going to allow me to eat even more. lols. i'm going to be reviewing f&b around Singapore, and get reimbursed for it (:

how awesome !!! i was really happy :D

i get a certain allowance for each place I'm reviewing, so as long as we're not like huge eaters,  i can probably take a friend with me sometimes (: i love meeting up people to catch up and stuff, and definitely the limiting factor is money cos eating out is always expensive! so with this internship, it'd help cover or at least subsidise some costs of going out 


definitely excited!! going to get my first assignment tomorrow (:

Things i will miss about chch

1. weather

i know i complained so much about the cold when i first came, but its really nice now (: and wearing coats all the time gives me an excuse not to dress up so much since it's all covered up anyway. hahah oops. did i also mention i've been wearing the same scruffy shoes the whole time? hahaha


i also shave my legs less since its mostly in jeans, but prob that was too much info. hahaha

2. my apartment

its awesome to live alone. i love it really (: and apartments are so much more awesome than halls in school :/

i loveee my flat, i love the space, the freedom to be alone when i want to. my huge bed, freedom to have my room be an organised mess, go and come back as i please

i definitely want to move out and rent my own place once i can afford it after i'm working, even if im not married.

family's great, but so is freedom. (:

3. being able to cook for myself

it's really fun to plan your own meals, even though i'm hardly an accomplished chef. it's funnn in any case ((: grocery shopping is like highlights of the week. haha


4. community-ish feeling

since a lot of my friends live really close by, it's easy to meet, easy to hang out, easy to pop over and stuff.

and i will miss L my dear flatmate so much ): she's so awesome

and also i like how if there's an event, or a school party and stuff, a lot of people will turn up cos the community's quite smalll, and there arent that many events going on in chch.

5. miss the flat terrain

sounds like a weird thing to miss. but omgosh not looking forward to climbing stairs at NUS. >:0

the campus is pretty and has a river and is nice to walk around. will miss it. plus its small so its easy to reach one place and the other.

in nus, need to run for bus to get around school ):


6.  food! 

a lot of nice food here (: or maybe i'm just greedy. of course i miss singapore food too! but i will prob miss some kiwi food when i go back. like pies and fish and chips, and kumara rosti!


7. miss the slack workload and chillax lifestyle

i am so free here, haha, so much time to hang out, go dance, do my own things, its a luxury i wont have in singapore.

plus the amount of sleep i have had in 4 mths here, is prob equivalent to.... a lot more than i get in singapore la. haha

sleep and sleep and sleep. haha no need to worry about having not enough time to do work, can always take a nap when i feel like it.


9. being able to sit on a bus

nz buses are amazingly empty. well, i suppose its not surprising since cars are so cheap. and a bus ride costs 2.30 !!! but its nice that u can always get a seat. and also, people say thank you to the driver before getting off! how nice (:


10. Z (and his car) 

haha, of cos he gets a point by himself. (: gonna miss him, and gonna miss staying in the block next to him. it is super convenient to live nearby. easy to hang out spontaneously, and its nice to pass under his window and wave (:

and will miss being driven around hahaha. though let me clarify, its not a big deal whether a guy has a car or not. i have never minded taking public transport, esp in singapore where cars are crazy expensive.

 haha, but of cos its convenient if he does have one, and since he does, i will miss being driven!!!! hahah cos it means i can wear 5 inch heels without worrying, and we can go to places tt arent so convenient by bus :D





ok, will miss chch too much ): hopefully i come back again someday!

eating!!!!!!!

 food is what i have been up to :D haha, been making a list of the last things i wanna eat in chch. :D

KFC here is really awesome! 5 dollars for a snackbox includes 1 piece chicken, 1 burger, and 2 sides! and the fries and mash here are extra special

 this is a really special nasi goreng. if u try it u'll know (: so yummy!!

 lucky me got treated to a homecooked dinner by L! (: sweet dinner rolls and salad

 and she baked a potato topped pie as well! (: and i bought desserts (:

 look at this awesome choc tart with a macaron on it! it is really delicious!

and pies from school! just had a chicken pie today :D


heading out for a last dinner with z tonight ):

last 2 days in christchurch

it's been a crazy week.

seriously i wonder what will happen to me when i reach back to Singapore. everything here in chch and all the people here are all gonna be so foreign and far away

oh wells.

i will have to be brave!!!

and i really miss my gfs very much.

 went with Z to riccarton farmer's market today! I had a crepe and he had bacon and egg toast. i had crepe cos i've been trying to make crepes recently, but my crepes keep coming out like butter prata. hahah

so had to try a real crepe.

it's a sweet crepe with belgian dark choc. so yummy.

and Z got me a beautiful piece of rose quartz (:

love it! 

the day we missed the bus to dunedin...

 hmm. JY and i were supposed to go to dunedin for a holiday for 3 days, but we missed our bus and ended up feeding ducks in the park. haha, we missed the bus by 1 minute!!

the bus was due to leave at 8am, and we reached at 759am! and the bus LEFT without us!! ):

and we were like. uhoh.

This is a really delicately beautiful passage. I've always wondered, how does one forget? Is it bad to still remember the sweetness of past lovers?  I can't forget, even insignificant things years ago. It's all still within me.
