First day at work! we filed some of the patients casenotes and went to find some of the patients data and stuff. then jess and i accompanied Dr Ang to the wards. there was one poor little girl who couldn't eat i think so she was very clammy and had to put on a drip. but the doctor couldn't find her vein coz it collapsed or something.

so poor thing, and the girl was so brave and SO CUTE! Jess and I had to entertain her to distract her and so, we sang rudolph the red nose reindeer, a barney song and we were asking her about everything we thought of. like whether she liked math, eng, chi, sesame street, barney, cookie monster etc. to all she replied in a very cute nod and barely whispering yes. then we asked her which was her favourite character was. to which she answered in the cutest, smallest voice i've heard. 'elmo'. oh man so cute!!!!! then me and jess started singing 'elmo's world' whch was the only line we knew. the doctor jabbed the needle in, twisted it around and pushed it in harder. and she only winced a little bit.She didn't even cry lor. so brave. we feel her pain. jess was saying that she'd fight tooth and nail if the nurse so much as tried to give her a flu vaccination.

then.... jess and i spent 2 hours making those cotton swabs u use after injections. we did 3 big bottles! and we perfected the art of making rounded cotton swabs.

and then, we accompanied a patient to the x-ray and blood test department and slacked around coz the patient's grandma kept talking to us. the baby had to take blood samples from her finger and then she was wailing like crazy and everytime she looked at her bandaged finger, she started sobbing again and attempted to bite it off. so poor thing. and in the meantime, we tried in vain to pacify some poor kid who woke up and realised tt his mum was in the x-ray room with his little bro.

ohhhh my sis got her psle results today!!! it's quite ok and she's relatively pleased but it's borderline if she wants to apply rgs. hope the cut off point doesn't go up. please don't!

TOMORROW'S MOVIE MARATHON!!!!! i'm excited.

and jess and i are thinking of joining the christmas choir in church. and i had a nightmare about having horrible auditions for it yesterday. i dreamt that there was a pannel of 20 or more judges and most of the ppl auditioning were from CAMY( the music ministry) and there were so many people and we couldn't sing. oh so scary...
